Straight Outta Compton: What Every Christian Should Remember

So Straight Outta Compton blew box office charts making it the number one movie in America. And while there are those of us who opted not to go and see the movie, there are some of us who still supported the advertising efforts by using the "Straight Outta" Meme (Yeepp, that was FREE advertisement for them). I can't help but wonder if maybe...just maybe if we stopped supporting mess; would they stop producing mess? Just think about it...if television is this foul now...what will it be like for our grandchildren later?

If you are still undecided on whether or not you want to fatten the pockets of the enemy's camp by buying a ticket to go and see this movie, please read THEIR parent's guide.

(Sarcastically speaking)You have to appreciate the enemy's boldness nowadays...He doesn't mind you knowing his work is full of filth...but that's probably because he knows you will watch it anyway....

  1. First I want to say I LOVE WHAT YOU ARE DOING We need it & please keep up the good work!!!! I am a Christian, not a perfect one but a believer none the less. I went to see the movie because I wanted to see their story. Not everyones story is free from profanity, drugs, sex, lying & so many other things that are wrong or not edifying. However, their are people who could learn from the real life story they see on the big screan. Maybe a twentysomething year old woman saw herself in one of the characters being used sexually & mistreated. Seeing this movie could have changed her mind about participating in that kind of lifestyle because she could see where it leads. Or for the young man selling drugs & after he sees this movie has a change of heart, or for the young artist to watch out for peoole who don't have their best intrest at heart. Or to help them realize that sometimes friends are trying to help you by telling you the truth & are not hating on them. Or for a mother to wisely support her child. I saw a potential for all these lessons to be learned while watching this movie. And please don't think i feel this movie is appropriate for minors. It shouldn't be seen by anyone under 21 years of age. I also don't think this movie could persuade a believer to change their life & leave Christ. If it has that effect on them they weren't in Christ in the first place. And I will also go on to say that movies without a puroose & is not telling a story, has all kinds of profanity & God knows what else in it Should not be viewed by Believers. The movie was nothing more than a true story about how a few guys made to the top of their careers..... & yes I am aware of how this kind if music has tainted our people..... and I hate it. But that is a whole other story. I guess i've said enough cause i could keep pecking away @ this keyboard.... but I won't. God Bless & keep up the good work.
